General Worker
Location: Mountain National Park
Salary: R123 884.89 – R165 767.11
Paterson Grade: A3
A challenging vacancy opportunity currently exists for a permanent General Worker within the Technical Department in Mountain Zebra National Park. The appointed participant will be reporting to the Technical Officer.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Must have a code 8 driver’s license
- Physically fit and able to do physically demanding work
- No criminal record – SAPS Verification will be done
- General knowledge of Geysers, Tiling, Painting, Aircons and refrigeration.
- Willing to work flexible hours
Responsibilities
- To assist in managing civil building maintenance by agreed procedures and operational environment.
- To investigate and resolve problems that are of a technical nature.
- General and administration – including timesheets, logbooks and reports.
- Operating of the Waste-Water purification plant and Water purification plant.
- Assist with the control of contractor’s behaviour on campsites and infield.
- Maintenance of fences, water points, roads and infrastructure.
- Assist with maintenance and management of all assets.
- Assist with activities in the park as and when required.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Vehicle and workplace inspections.
Please Note
- Appointment will be in accordance with EE Plan targets.
- Successful candidates will be required to stay out of the park, Housing allowance will be allocated. It may be required from successful candidates to work on weekend and Public Holidays.
- Preference will be given to individuals who have General working experience.
