Administrator – BSSA

Position Overview

Manage the Bakery School SA in line with Bakery School Foundation’s mission of  preparing and producing world class future Bakers and Technical Advisors for the Industry. Facilitate learning to learners daily at the Bakery School and ensuring that all moderation and assessment procedures are adhered to.


The Bakery School Administrator is responsible for the definition and implementation of the training strategy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monthly reports on learners’ performance.
  • Manage attendance and performance of learners.
  • Manage achievement of Curriculum outcomes per quarter.
  • Manage performance of facilitators.
  • Screen & shortlist applicants yearly.
  • Report to the Bakery School board on school activities.
  • Manage expenses and control budgets.
  • Manage stock levels at school.
  • Ensure learners pay their relevant monthly fees.
  • Report defective equipment.
  • Manage & maintain health & safety standards.
  • Upload Credits for learners.
  • Job Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12), plus a Post Matric Qualification in Administration/ Training or HR
  • 1- 2 years Administration skills in an HR or Training roles
  • Must have a relevant Bakery qualification (Confectionary, Pastry, Chocolate)
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Product knowledge of Bakery, Pastry and chocolate industry.
  • Added Advantage
    • Relevant experience in a training environment.
    • Be in possession of a Moderator and Assessor qualification.
    • Have previous experience in training learners & facilitating learners of classes up to 25 in numbers.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Good communication skills – English is a prerequisite.
  • Ability to read and write in English and any other language(s)
  • Good personality, hardworking, team- work, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.
