Admin Assistant (Hartebeesfontein))

Afrimat Hartebeesfontein, based in Balmoral has a vacancy for a: Admin Assistant (Fixed Term)

Minimum Experience & Key Competencies Requirements:
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • 2 years + experience as an Admin Assistant.
  • Driver’s license (essential).
  • Own car (advantage).
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience on CRM, SAGE 300 and On Key System (advantage).
  • Be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team environment.
The person will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Create works orders.
  • Create purchase orders.
  • Capture and order diesel.
  • Monitor diesel usage on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with timesheets.
  • Filling of all admin documentation.
  • Ordering of office equipment as and when required.
  • Ordering of PPE as and when required.
  • Assist at the weighbridge.
  • Draft minutes of meetings as and when required.

The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness. Candidates must preferably reside in the Balmoral area.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience as a General Worker in a mining environment.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning up work site.
  • Assist Operators with maintenance.
  • Able to work with hand tools.
  • Follow instructions and work independently.
  • Perform any other manual work required on site.
  • Housekeeping.

Candidates must preferably reside in the surrounding area.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Valid code 14 driver’s license.
  • 3 years + experience driving a truck.
  • A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Ability to distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safe operation of the truck.
  • Delivering the required product safely and on time to the correct place.
  • Loading of material to the truck.
  • Effectively communicate with site personnel.
  • Daily pre-start inspections on the truck.
  • Reporting of any breakdowns / defects.
  • Keep the truck clean.
  • Overseeing the loading of the required product.
  • Close out at the end of the day.
