For further information about De Beers visit&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.debeersgroup.com\/\">www.debeersgroup.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Job Description:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The candidate is required to assist the Senior Plant Foreman or Supervisor in monitoring the process flow in the plant to ensure optimum and safe tonnage throughput, carat recovery, equipment and resource utilization. The candidate may be required to assist the Supervisor in collecting and analyzing plant samples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>KEY RESULT AREAS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitoring, reporting on and Adhering to All Safety, Health and Environmental requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure adherence and compliance to plant standards and parameters and report deviations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimize Engineering and Operational downtime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report plant status to relevant Foreman at all times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor physical conditions and report deviations proactively<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct risk assessments and communicate plant conditions to relevant Ore Processing Controllers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form part of sectional MBA\u2019s, SHE Management programs and participate in Business Improvement Initiatives (i.e. RRP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Takes over or handover shift from off or on-going operator and attends to any abnormalities first then reports to supervisor and receives further instructions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do physical inspection of the plant and informs the Ore Processing Foreman of any deviations and corrective action taken including job cards for engineering related problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs physical inspections of plant equipment according to departmental procedure to minimize breakdowns and production losses by reporting abnormalities to the Ore Processing Controller or Senior Plant Foreman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operates and monitor the plant operating parameters and related equipment and assist in equipment maintenance according to production requirements and Standard Operating Procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate plant conditions and parameters to Ore Processing Controller or Supervisor to enable the monitoring or co-ordination of the production process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate plant conditions and parameters to Ore Processing Controller or Supervisor to enable the monitoring or co-ordination of the production process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cleans areas of responsibility according to procedures upon instruction from the Senior Plant Foreman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help reduce downtime and breakdown of equipment by proactively reporting deviations to standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collection, processing and analysis of samples to determine process unit efficiencies in the plant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Makes recommendations on improvements on sampling and sample processing to the Laboratory Controller<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 Qualification with Maths.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid EC\/Code 10 Drivers License<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National Certificate in Mineral Processing level 2 (Advantageous)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical Certificate of fitness to work in the plant environment (Red or Blue area plant)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polygraph testing will be conducted for Red Area positions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your consideration for employment is subject to your SAPS criminal record and qualification verification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SKILLS\/ COMPETENCIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adherence to standards, policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to function in a team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be able to communicate effectively in English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Highly energetic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety conscious at all times with a Zero Harm attitude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good Work attendance, time management and time keeping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to unblock pumps and pipes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to utilize training and experience in problem solving initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For internal applicants, strictly complete an internal application form and attach detailed CV.
