Fieldworkers will be responsible for adhering to scheduled home visits given to him\/her by the Project Coordinator; collaborate with facility-based staff to identify TB patients; and conduct household contact investigations of TB patients identified in study clinics. Field workers may also conduct screening and testing of household members of TB patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 1-2 years of experience recruiting participants for research studies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have at least 1-year previous experience conducting TB screening and household contact investigations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must reside in Mdantsane, Ginsberg and King Williams Town<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literacy (Microsoft Office), including data entry into RedCap platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills (written and verbal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluent in isiXhosa and English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good planning and organising<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Client (participant) focus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work as a member of a team and individually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be proactive as an individual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detail oriented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain study participant confidentiality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work under pressure, whilst maintaining the ability to remain professional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adaptive to change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to multi-task<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work later hours including weekends (Required work on Saturdays will be substituted with weekdays)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Advantageous:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and Human Subjects Protections in research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous electronic data collection using laptops, tablets, mobile\/smart phones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience working in a primary health care environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support Project Coordinator in implementing field-based study activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct TB household contact investigations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Screening, consenting and enrolling study participants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administer electronic questionnaires to study participants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage, maintain and secure all paper and electronic data tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload and back-up daily collected data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit timely accurate reports and tally sheets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to DTHF and study standard operating procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend study\/project meetings and participate in all study training sessions as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building interpersonal relationships and maintaining rapport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Values fit:&nbsp; Passion Innovation Progress Integrity Respect Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit CV, motivation letter with certified copy of highest qualification and details of three (3) current contactable referees in a single PDF file by 01 September 2023.
