The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective running of the administration unit and will be required to be a part of a professional team that is continuously striving for the highest standards of quality in healthcare in a high \u2013 tech environment.Critical Outputs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain a well-run, professional and patient focused admission environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the accuracy of the admission process and the prevention of potential risk factors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Synergy and teamwork \u2013 working closely with credit controllers, case manager\u2019s reception staff and doctors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaising with medical aids to obtain authorization for admission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the risk for the hospital by adhering to all related protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure quality care to all patients is maintained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating switchboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handling money and receipting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collection of co-payments, private fees when applicable as well as related documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing general administration duties involved in the pre-admission of patients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A&amp;E billing and submission of accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with the confirmations process when required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working Knowledge of COID funder rules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carry out admission and receptionist duties for the hospital<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing administrative duties involved in the admission of patients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admitting patients onto the Impilo system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with Daily banking and the handling of monies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaising with the medical aids to obtain authorization for admission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working 12-hour shifts, Day and Night Shift<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhering to the protocols of the hospital and company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhering to the procedures of the department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Line manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 or Level 4 equivalent qualification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of Imeds and Impilo advantageous.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in dealing with people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An enthusiastic, motivated, punctual &amp; well organised individual with initiative and ability to handle pressure. Must be able to work shifts (day or night) and overtime as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be customer service oriented.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own or reliable transport due to the nature of shift work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite.
