Your portfolio will cover the provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients\u2019 medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting these needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Essential:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BPharm \/ equivalent qualification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registered tutor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unisolv experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in supervising staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literate \u2013 MS Office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound numerical skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong command of the English language and a second language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Advantageous:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Relevant retail\/ FMCG experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third additional language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SAP experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E-scripting experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts &amp; services especially pertaining to a Pharmacist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for patients\u2019 medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting those needs, which shall include, but not be limited to the following functions:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluation of a patient\u2019s medicine-related needs by determining the indication, safety and effectiveness of the therapy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner, and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Correct errors on scripts rejected by medical aid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dispensing of any medicine or scheduled substance on the prescription of a person authorised to prescribe medicine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Furnishing of information and advice to any person with regard to the use medicine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Determining patient compliance with the therapy, and follow-up to ensure that the patient\u2019s medicine-related needs are being met<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The provision of pharmacist-initiated therapy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The compounding, manipulation, preparation or packaging of any medicine or scheduled substance, or the supervision thereof<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The manufacturing of any medicine or scheduled substance, or supervision thereof<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The purchasing, acquiring, importing, keeping, possessing, using, releasing, storage, packaging, re-packaging, supplying or selling of any medicine or scheduled substance, or supervision thereof<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The application for the registration of a medicine in accordance with the Medicines Act and Pharmacy Act<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow up with patients regarding script tacking reports as requested by the Dispensary Manager, and follow up appointments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explain all medical aid costs to patients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process all paperwork for accurate submission of claims to medical aids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure authorisation of chronic, HIV and AIDS, and oncology medication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain customer profiles on the system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Merge profiles locally, and UCS should be notified to merge profiles centrally<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take note of any messages on the customer profile, and take suitable action<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report on low \/ out of stock levels, and stock errors to the Dispensary Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate biannual stock takes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exercise stock, cash and asset control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Competencies:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essential:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>English and second language \u2013 Read, write and speak<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communication skills, listening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic dosing and important drug interaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer service\/focus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervisor experience, and able to lead by example<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to train other staff members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conflict management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound numerical skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem-solving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trustworthy and honest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to deal with pressure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literate \u2013 MS Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Advantageous:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge of Retail\/ FMCG operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3rd Additional Language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of or experience in Unisolv, SAP and E-Scripting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drug and family planning, and complementary medicine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Special conditions of employment:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Controlled room temperature, security, limited space, health and safety, risk stock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physically fit and able to stand for long periods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and own reliable transport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear credit and criminal records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Remuneration and benefits:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Market-related salary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>ONLY SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED.
