Good health and quality of life is what motivates us to provide healthcare solutions and provide support to those who needs it most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SIOC Development Trust (SIOC-CDT) was established in 2006 by Sishen Iron Ore Company SIOC (PTY) LTD to invest in the development of the communities in which the mine operates. Together with Anova, they are implementing a Mental Health Programme (Psychosocial Support) to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention, treatment, promotion of mental health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for a General Assistant to support, co-ordinate and manage the cleaning services for the efficient operation at our Thabazimbi offices. Maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe facility for staff and clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key duties and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cleaning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performs cleaning tasks for the offices: e.g. sweeping,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vacuums every second day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disinfects, mops and dusts daily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uses cleaning materials and equipment as recommended by the Supplier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cleans kitchens daily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Empties dustbins and removes waste daily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean Windows as and when required (at reachable level)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complies with all health and safety regulations e.g. using \u201cWet Floor\u201d sign when mopping.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Materials Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Report any damage to property immediately when noticed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with office manager to order provisions such as coffee tea sugar and milk, cleaning material, etc. before they runs out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure that paper towels are ordered before they run out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that there are sufficient cleaning materials at all times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that there are sufficient groceries at all times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safe keeping of cleaning materials and groceries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Health &amp; Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adheres to Health and Safety regulations by using protective clothing and equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assists with any adhoc duties as and when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change bulbs for the office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Available as the contact person for all tea requests for meetings in the boardroom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Runs errands when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrange teas for meetings &#8211; i.e. set up tea trolleys, serve and clear up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help with the movement of office furniture or any movable assets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist between both Parktown offices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 or Matric\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 1 year domestic or office cleaning experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication skills and local language ability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Generic Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to maintain a professional image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to meet deadlines and manage own time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognise and support business values.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good team player.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance with our Employment Equity goals and plan, preference will be given to suitable applicants from designated groups as defined in the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998 and subsequent amendments thereto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preference will be given to persons with disabilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anova Health Institute is a provider of essential health services and therefore has a mandatory vaccination policy.
