We are looking for a dynamic and energetic RECEPTIONIST AND ADMISSIONS CLERK to join our team at NEWMARKET DAY HOSPITAL, ALBERTON.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DEPARTMENT: <\/strong>Other<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BUSINESS UNIT: <\/strong>Newmarket Day Hospital &#8211; Alberton<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NO OF POSITIONS:<\/strong> 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PROVINCE \/ REGION: <\/strong>Gauteng<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EMAIL:<\/strong> applications@cure.co.za<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE:<\/strong> 2024-04-10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>KEY OUTPUTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintains client service principles to ensure client expectations are met.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of hospital telephone switchboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaison with client queries in an effective manner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opening the hospital at 5h30-5h45 each morning and receiving clients, patients, and visitors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contacting patients to offer information regarding e.g., time of admission and documentation needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsible for capturing pre-admissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensures correct admission and discharge of patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of payments made at Reception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting patients in obtaining medical authorisation or quotations, if required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Billing and finalizing patient files.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate with unit manager of theatre, Registered Nurse in Ward, and relevant doctors\u2019 rooms regarding cancellations or add on patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filing of patient files when needed and arrange uplifting of files to Head Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance and care of the photocopy and label printers and computers installed in Reception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly banking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other additional administrative tasks as requested by manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Grade 12 and relevant qualification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-3 years relevant experience in healthcare environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Word.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the facility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer-centred mind-set that acknowledges the value of the customer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid knowledge and application of&nbsp;<strong>patient administration systems<\/strong>, policies, and procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good interpersonal skills, the ability to deal with people and be in the frontline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to plan and organise to ensure that work is completed in an efficient manner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to identify and demonstrate company values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REWARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your contribution to the company will be rewarded with a market-related remuneration package which includes membership of subsidised medical aid, provident funds, leave and a thirteenth (13) cheque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>APPLICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates who meet the requirements and wish in applying for this position, can send their comprehensive CV\u2019s to<strong> applications@cure.co.za , <\/strong>by 10 April 2024.
