Thorburn Security is looking for some highly motivated employees to serve as Security Officers to secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and control access points entrance & egress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duties & Responsibilities<\/strong>
\u2022Protect employees of the customer, visitors, buildings, & Movable Assets
\u2022Conduct regular patrolling of property
\u2022Monitor surveillance equipment
\u2022Inspect the plant, buildings & movable equipment
\u2022Control access points; permitting entrance & egress
\u2022Use sounding alarms and other related devices to mobilise for assistance when it is essential
\u2022Report irregularities inform violators of policy and procedures & restraining trespassers
\u2022Control traffic by directing drivers
\u2022Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
\u2022Ensure that the equipment under own use is in a working condition through preventative maintenance
\u2022Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises
\u2022Provide excellent customer service
\u2022Adhere to all company service and operating standards
\u2022Remain in compliance with local, provincial and national government regulations
\u2022Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
\u2022Protect the company\u2019s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
\u2022Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications<\/strong>
\u2022Grade 11\/12 or an equivalent qualification
\u2022PSIRA registration
\u2022Driver\u2019s license an added advantage
\u2022Fire Arm Competency (business use) and advantage
\u2022A clear criminal record<\/p>\n\n\n\n
