Reporting lines will be to relevant lines managers within Table Mountain National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Performance Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General maintenance and upkeep of the terrain and gardens including visitor accommodation, day visitor&#8217;s facilities and access control points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform cleaning duties including ablution blocks, picnic sites and day visitor&#8217;s area to prescribed standards of cleanliness. Thismay include laundry duties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform basic daily administrative duties as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with admission management at park gates across Table Mountain National Park.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform maintenance of tourism facilities, staff accommodation and ablution blocks as may be required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refuse removal and braai site cleaning as and when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with basic traffic management, access control and parking of vehicles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with information dissemination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with basic wildfire suppression if required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visual Patrols of trail network.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with permit inspection and compliance monitoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct foot patrols and Infrastructure inspections with designated areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with other ad hoc tasks required by Supervisor\/Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and\/or abilities that are required for the job:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 (Standard 10)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-2 years practical work experience in a similar working environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety amd First Aid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid Driver\u2019s license will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SARS Tax Reference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear Criminal Record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in English and other local language.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be fit amd able to work long hours on your feet with exposure to the element (i.e sun, rain, and windy climatic conditions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Will be required to work weekends and all public holidays between <strong>15 December 2023 and 15 January 2024<\/strong> as pee operational requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The cost to company remuneration package based on the salary scale of a position with a Paterson A1 job grade will be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful candidate will have to provide their own accommodation as there is no official accommodation in the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=7m41UWgOJEer4U9EDLMxFPeICPwbhFhCgtF-M08SJCdUQkdOUkdESkZSUjIzVlJNVkNOWU5HREhTUSQlQCN0PWcu\">Application Form<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supporting Documents such as certified of qualifications, ID &amp; Drivers License and other relevant documents must be emailed to <strong>vacancies.capecluster@sanparks.org<\/strong>. using reference number <strong>GENERAL WORKERS_TMNP<\/strong> in subject line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For enquiries: <\/strong>Eddy Mavanga Tel: 021 712 0527<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SANParks is an equal opportunity employer and reserves the right not to appoint.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South African National Parks General Workers X37Table Mountain National ParkPaterson Grading: A1Salary: R9 832.13 per monthClosing Date: 08 November 2023 Vacancies currently exist for thirty-seven (37) contract General Workers for the period 15 December 2023 to 15 January 2024.
