Maintain the efficient and accurate receiving and packing of stock in line with Dis-Chem standard operational procedures and requirements and customer needs within the Store<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Essential:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 \/ Matric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of 6 months\u2019 relevant retail receiving experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic mathematics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literate \u2013 MS Office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Specification\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove stock from supplier delivery vehicle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify that all products\/items received are correctly allocated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handle goods with care to minimise stock damage and personal injury<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sort and pack different products and articles onto their own pallets, to facilitate checking in of goods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identity any discrepancies such as damaged, misplaced goods, wrong labels and report the issues accordingly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the Receiving Clerk to sort stock, and assist with the checking process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pack stock accurately and correctly into shelves or onto a pallet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete an administrative form and complete organisational formalities for damages\/accidents that occurred while packing according to Dis-Chem SOPs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Competencies<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Essential:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge of the distribution, logistics and supply chain environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong command of the English language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good reading comprehension<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trustworthy and honest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Special conditions of employment:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Willing and able to work retail hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes, and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reliable transport and\/or reside in close proximity to the store<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South African citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear credit and criminal records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Remuneration and benefits:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Market related salary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical aid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provident fund<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>ONLY SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED.
