MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To clean linen hygienically according to policy to mitigate health and safety risk to Mediclinic

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Ensure linen is hygienically cleaned

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 10

DESIRED EDUCATION: Grade 12

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Laundry Experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in the Healthcare Environment

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Linen folding techniques
• Linen categories and their appropriate washing and drying cycles
• Health and safety principles
• Medico,legal requirements
• Fire safety procedures
• Infection control principles
• Cleaning products; detergents and material (application and use)
• Stock control principles
• Different and appropriate functionalities of washing machine and dryers
